- Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist with the check-in process.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar effectively.
- Handle incoming phone calls with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Maintain patient records accurately using electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth, or Meditech.
- Collect patient information and verify insurance details prior to appointments.
- Assist with medical coding and billing inquiries as needed.
- Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Manage office supplies and maintain a clean, organized reception area.
- Provide support in a dental clinic setting if applicable, ensuring all patient needs are met.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical office or clinic environment is preferred.
- Bilingual skills are a plus to assist diverse patient populations.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems (eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth, Meditech) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of medical coding principles is beneficial but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate records.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
