Financial Reporting Analyst

Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Prepare quarterly consolidated reporting and analysis to parent company
- Assist with semi-annual budget preparation, reporting, and analysis
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and research/resolve reconciling items
- Prepare general ledger journal entries during month-end close
- Prepare monthly and quarterly sales tax, use tax, and gross receipts filings and maintain compliance calendar
- Conduct annual internal audits of sales tax procedures and filings and provide recommendations for improvement
- Provide data and prepare analysis for annual federal, state, and local consolidated income tax filings
- Prepare federal and state governmental filings
- Key staff member in the management of the annual audit and mid-year review
- Compile and review internal control documentation for annual review
- Maintain and update corporate finance policies and procedures
- Assist with special projects as needed which may include new accounting standards, system implementation/enhancements, financial analyses
- Prepare other ad hoc reporting/analysis as needed
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience with multi-state sales and use tax filings
- Experience in researching accounting issues to ensure compliance with GAAP
- Experience in the development and drafting of policies and procedures
- Financial reporting experience or public accounting experience preferred
Education and Skills Required:
- BS in Accounting
- CPA preferred
- Strong software skills (SAP/MS Office), including Advanced Excel knowledge
- Proven ability to work independently and to handle multiple tasks/projects in a changing environment
- Ability to identify deficiencies in the control environment and inform management
- Manufacturing experience preferred
This position is an on-site position with an annual salary range from $100,000 to $110,000 depending on education and experience
