Position Overview:
The Student Housing Leasing Specialist is responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative tasks and leasing activities of a student housing property. This role includes engaging with prospective and current tenants, maintaining office organization, and supporting move-ins and move-outs to ensure smooth property operations. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-service oriented, and comfortable with a variety of office and leasing tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communication and Customer Service:
- Answer phones and respond to tenant inquiries via email promptly and professionally.
- Address tenant concerns, inquiries, and general questions in a friendly and informative manner.
- Engage with prospective tenants during property showings, providing detailed information about units and the leasing process.
- Leasing and Marketing:
- Assist in the leasing process, including creating and distributing marketing materials.
- Track and manage guest cards to follow up with potential tenants.
- Draft and finalize lease agreements accurately and efficiently.
- Office Organization:
- File documents and maintain organized records for tenants and property management.
- Keep the office clean and orderly to create a professional environment for staff and visitors.
- Tenant Management and Payments:
- Collect and process rent payments, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Assist with the finalization of upcoming move-ins, including verifying lease details and preparing necessary documentation.
- Property Support:
- Assist with turnover activities, including coordinating unit inspections and preparing units for new tenants as needed.
- Support the team and Property Manager with other basic administrative and operational tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Some college coursework is a plus.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic property management software.
- Experience: Previous experience in leasing, property management, or office administration preferred.
- Attributes: Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
This is an on-site position, with standard office hours.
