Willoway Nurseries, Inc. is Hiring a Grower 2 Near Avon, OH

Primary Responsibilities:

Setting irrigation programs and controls as directed
Monitoring crop moisture levels
Monitoring nutrients in plants, soil, and water and mixing fertilizers as directed
Setting and manipulating environmental controls as directed
Performing basic to intermediate growing area and irrigation repairs/maintenance
Performing basic plant maintenance (trimming, moving, weeding, etc.) as directed
Keeping and reporting accurate records of time-sensitive and mission critical data

Qualifications:

1 - 2 years of horticultural/agricultural experience (preferred)

Knowledge:

Basic plant/horticultural knowledge

Abilities:

Strong interpersonal skills - ability to communicate (both written & verbal)
Ability to multi-function
Strong organizational and time management skills
Detail oriented

Work Environment: Outdoor 90-100% of time; Be prepared to work in all safe weather conditions caring for the plants.
Work schedule :
M-F 7am-430pm
Weekends on rotational basis, as needed
40-50 hours in Spring
Wage:
$19 /hour depending on experience
