HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST - JOB SUMMARY:

HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST - DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist with recruitment efforts, including posting job openings
- Conduct new hire orientations and assist with onboarding paperwork
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures
- Assist with employee relations issues and provide support to managers and employees
- Coordinate and assist with HR projects and initiatives
- Assist with benefits administration and open enrollment
- Maintain HR databases and generate reports as needed
- Provide general administrative support to the HR department
- Other duties as assigned
HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST - Education and Experience:
- SHRM-CP or equivalent HR certification is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
- 2-3 years or more of experience in HR or related field
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and proficient in or able to learn Paylocity
- Knowledge of HR policies and procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Has a valid NYS driver’s license
HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST - Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Ability to drive between work locations.
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
- The employee is frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- The employee is required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
- Specific vision abilities this position requires include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
