SUMMARY OF POSITION :
Plans, directs, and coordinates the manufacturing processes within Super Steel by designing, developing, testing, and repairing a wide variety of machinery and offers suggestions for efficiencies; responsible for a wide variety of manufacturing processes to include fabrication, welding, machining, assembly and tool design.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

- Develops, evaluates and improves the manufacturing process. Promotes, educates, and instills the culture of waste identification and elimination throughout the plant in manufacturing and support.
- Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements and workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Prepares design sketches, layouts and schematics as part of the total design team and ensures timely and cost-efficient completion of products. Prepares preliminary and detailed design drawings using SolidWorks or other CAD packages and directs the work of tooling and maintenance staff and technicians as required.
- Confirms system and product capabilities by performing tests, analyzing data, preparing reports and making comparisons to similar designs and systems.
- Estimates job production times and related costs to communicate to management.
- Record, analyze and interpret data, communicate test results, and support the performance of statistical analysis when needed.
- Troubleshoots production development problems related to parts and / or assemblies; recommends improvements and / or solutions.
- Complete and maintain all necessary and associated paperwork.
- Understand and work within ISO requirements and processes.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Adhere to all Super Steel and OSHA safety related work rules and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
