Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality and safety of our facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, repair, and general upkeep of equipment and systems. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with other team members to maintain high standards of service and ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities.
- Perform repairs on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical systems.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and maintenance schedules.
- Fabricate parts as needed to support maintenance activities.
- Weld components when necessary to ensure structural integrity.
- Interpret schematics and technical drawings to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant or client concerns promptly.
- Assist with commercial painting projects as needed to maintain aesthetic quality.
- Collaborate with team members on larger projects or emergency repairs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with CMMS software is preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation.
- Proficient in welding techniques and fabrication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on communication and problem-solving.
- Experience in commercial painting is a plus.
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
- A valid driver's license may be required for travel between job sites.
