American Cancer Society is Hiring an Associate Director, Access to Care Solutions Delivery Near Raleigh, NC

Responsible for successful execution of a comprehensive strategy for the delivery of Patient Support programs and services based on the Society's enterprise strategy and priorities, with a strong emphasis on access to care services for assigned geography. Responsible for providing quality customer service through strong collaboration with internal and external constituents and partners. Accountable for achieving KPIs and pillar metrics for assigned programs and services. Serves as an active team member focused on the following: Program optimization and delivery in the field Collaboration with Community Impact teams Volunteer coordination (with Bus Ops and Community Impact and Programs and Services teams) Transportation and lodging grant delivery to health system partners Integration with development in regions for regional programs and services data impact and stories Reporting and data evaluation
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maximizes innovative solutions, identifies and leverages best practices, conducts ongoing assessment and continuous improvement, and manages issues resolution to ensure success and excellent customer experience of the Society's Patient Support programs and services.
  • Responsible for the execution and quality of the Society's Road to Recovery transportation program across a significant geography.
  • Ensures an adequate number of active volunteers, including drivers, to meet program needs through a comprehensive recruitment plan that leverages technology, tools and staff across all functions.
  • Drives ongoing retention and volunteer relationship management, including adoption of new tools and technology.
  • Partners with the volunteer care team to ensure volunteer onboarding - training.
  • Develops and leverages relationships within and across constituencies, identifying opportunities to secure funding for priority programs and services.
  • Collaborates with Community Impact Staff to successfully execute grant program awards and maintain grants portfolio across a significant geography.
  • Collaborates with Patient Service Pillar and other enterprise staff to promote programs and services and support engagement in activities - events Assists in data collection and reporting to measure the impact of programs and services on our mission.
  • Captures patient and volunteer experiences for storytelling.
  • Serves as liaison to NCIC and patient case management escalations.
  • Establishes, manages and monitors the delivery of other high-quality access to care programs as identified.
  • Partners with Community Impact Staff to promote peer support programs available to health systems, patients and caregivers Integrates with Hope Lodges, if applicable
FORMAL KNOWLEDGE
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • Five years of experience in program and/or team management.
  • Experience in community health and community mobilization a plus.
OTHER SKILLS
  • Able to cultivate relationships with targeted systems/organizations and diverse populations to create sense of urgency related to awareness of cancer as a major health problem and motivate to action
  • Ability to represent the Society effectively to hospitals and other health systems, community leaders, corporate partners.
SPECIALIZED TRAINING OR KNOWLEDGE
  • Proven experience in community service development and sustained program integration.
  • General knowledge of health-based organizations and systems.
SPECIAL MENTAL OR PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Travel, including some evening and weekend work required.
The starting rate is $70,000 to $75,000 annual. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
