Defined Hospitality is looking for our next dynamic leader to fill a Beverage Manager position for our restaurant, Suraya.
Suraya is an all-day Market, Restaurant, & Garden serving cuisine and beverage from the Levant. Suraya is the only restaurant of its kind in Philadelphia, serving a modern take on traditional dishes, accompanied by warm and genuine hospitality. We are seeking like-minded candidates to join our team of hospitality professionals who are highly energetic, creative, and welcoming. Candidates should have prior experience of working in a high-volume, culinary-driven, hospitality-focused setting, as well as a genuine love of people and community.
The focus of this position is working with and through others, building and maintaining relationships and working closely and accurately within established guidelines. For this position, we are looking for someone who is an effective communicator - someone who is able to motivate others while being aware of and responsive to their needs and concerns. The Beverage management position requires knowledge of wine, cocktails, beer and zero proof beverages, as well as inventory, cost and overall control management. The beverage manager will be in not only in charge of the bar staff, but also a presence on the dining room floor performing duties with your fellow managers.
The person in this position must be friendly and genuinely interested in the business, agenda, and needs of those around them. A faster-than-average pace will be the norm for this position and detailed work is a major focus of the job!
