PAY RATE: $40-$46.00 hourly (depending on experience)
SIGN ON BONUS: Up to $12,500.00
HOURS: 10AM-6:30PM, Monday-Friday
JOB DESCRIPTION:
An Admissions RN oversees and assures completion of a comprehensive nursing assessment of a resident's physical, emotional, and mental status upon admissions/readmission Completes all admission paperwork, including MDO, MAR, TAR, Admission checklist, pain, fall, skin, and elopement risk assessments. interventions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Prepares and administers, and records prescribed medications
- Records patients’ medical information and vital signs
- Assesses the patient’s ability to do routine daily tasks
- Recognizes and manages geriatric syndromes common to older adults, including cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, urinary, hematological, musculoskeletal, endocrine, neurological, psychiatric/psychosocial, integumentary, sensory, and pain problems
- Prepares equipment and aids physician during examination and treatment of the patient
- Communicate with family members regarding patient
- Records all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format, and on the appropriate forms
- Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on the assignment setting
REQUIREMENTS:
- New York State Registered Professional Nurse licensure
- Experience in long-term care facility preferred
- Able to interpret patient information and make critical decisions about necessary actions
- Ability to supervise and work well with and show respect toward other healthcare personnel (i.e., CNAs, LPNs, physicians, etc.), residents, and their family members
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Able to perform tasks while upholding high standards of quality, cleanliness, and kindness
- Physical endurance for frequent activity; ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
