Mortgage Loan Processor

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Mortgage Processor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the loan processing workflow, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and facilitating communication between borrowers, loan officers, and underwriting staff. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mortgage processes and regulations, including Fair Housing regulations and TILA, as well as experience in credit analysis and underwriting. This job is fully remote but you must live in Arizona. The closer you live to Phoenix, AZ the better.

Responsibilities

• Review loan applications for completeness and accuracy.
• Verify borrower information, including income, employment history, and creditworthiness.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other applicable laws.
• Collaborate with loan officers to gather necessary documentation and resolve any issues.
• Conduct credit analysis to assess the risk associated with loan applications.
• Prepare loan files for underwriting review, ensuring all required documents are included.
• Maintain communication with borrowers throughout the processing stage to provide updates and gather additional information as needed.
• Monitor the progress of loans through the processing pipeline to ensure timely completion.
• Stay informed about changes in mortgage regulations and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of loan origination processes and mortgage documentation requirements.
• Familiarity with banking operations and contract management related to mortgage lending.
• Understanding of TILA regulations and FNMA guidelines is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct thorough credit analysis.
• Experience in underwriting is a plus but not required.
• Proficient in basic math skills for calculating financial ratios and metrics.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• You must live in Arizona.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
