Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Swim Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for children, water and teaching! As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for educating participants in swimming techniques, ensuring their safety, and fostering a positive learning environment. We encourage all ages to apply. This is a great job for high schoolers, college students and parents with young children. We offer free lessons for your children after 3 months of employment!
Duties
- Teach swimming lessons to individuals and groups, adapting instruction to meet the needs of each student.
- Monitor students’ progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
- Ensure the safety of all participants during lessons by enforcing pool rules and maintaining a vigilant watch over the swimming area.
- Engage with students in a supportive manner, encouraging confidence and enjoyment in swimming.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to create a cohesive learning environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
Qualifications
- Enjoy working with children of varying ages.
- Background in swimming, is a plus but not required. Training is provided.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to educate effectively.
- Love for the 90 degree water a plus!
