PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES:
- Performs functional testing and troubleshooting techniques at the unit level as required to meet production and quality standards.
- Analyzes unit failures to determine probable cause. Interfaces with support engineers and/or electronic maintenance for corrective action.
- Records shift testing and troubleshooting data on applicable data sheets. Coordinates inter-shift communications on problems and new procedures when necessary.
- Provides technical assistance in testing and troubleshooting as needed to lower level technicians.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- Associates degree in electronic technology or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of three years electronics technology experience
- Good computer skills, ability to follow detailed program instructions
- Working knowledge of oscilloscope, voltmeter, toneohm and RCL meter
- Must be able to read/interpret schematics
- Requires a mixture of standing and sitting
- May require handling of or exposure to chemicals used in the assembly process
- Requires lifting of up to 35 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Inter, intra-departmental and external contact required
