The position provides on-site customer service and serves as a resource for the client's clinical laboratory staff.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage biological specimens (e.g., blood, urine), including:
- Receipt, verification, handling, aliquoting, processing, and shipping (if applicable).
- Resolve order and specimen issues, interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor assigned reports and assist clients with specimen submission concerns.
- Maintain MCL supply inventory and oversee:
- Pending lists
- Billing charges
- Joint Test Catalog maintenance
- Quality metrics
- Training of send-out staff
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
- Must maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient information, results, and business interactions
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks with limited oversight
- Must adhere to safety regulations for handling chemicals and infectious agents
- Driver's License required
- Previous laboratory experience
- Hands-on experience or knowledge of laboratory procedures/phlebotomy
- Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum Experience: Three years of work experience, including laboratory and/or other relevant experience
