opportunity for a General Medicine or Family Practice MD who is looking
to contribute to the Substance Use Disorder continuum of care with an

Primary
Responsibilities Include:
· Provide short-term, primary medical care to
patients experiencing substance abuse issues
· Spend approximately 1 hour daily at clinic to
evaluate & treat patients
· Provide various physician services to patients
including H&P, SOAP notes, and pre-certification and utilization review
support
· Spend one to two hours per day at the clinic
with a predetermined number of hours of charting within KIPU EMR
· Coordinate with care team led by Head RN
· Refer patients who exhibit unstable or
critical care needs to urgent care settings as needed
· Promote the mission, vision, and values of the
organization
· Implement and practice our established
clinical protocols for detoxification as directed by the Gallus Method
· Ability to work both as a member of a team and
autonomously with little supervision
· Demonstrate critical thinking, reflection, and
problem solving to benefit patient and organization
Requirements
Successful
Candidates Must Have:
· DO or MD from an accredited program
· Current Texas Physician license, in good
standing, or ability to obtain licensure
· 5 years of practice, 2 years of post-residency
required
· Experience with SUD and behavioral health is a
plus but not required
· Experience in ER/ICU a plus
