Title: School Director

Reporting to: National Director of School Operations

Location: TALK Schools - Atlanta

Job Responsibilities

All functions and duties associated with properly managing the operations of the school and including but not limited to.

· Opening and operating the school according to the policies and procedures of TALK Schools;

· Promoting and maintaining an atmosphere conducive to a pleasant work environment for employees and a pleasant study environment for students;

· Function as the liaison between TALK and the building landlord;

· Developing and implementing customer service and public relation/promotional activities that will result in growth at the school from the local direct market;

· Overseeing Special packages, including, but not limited to, tuition all-inclusive, groups and special programs;

· Manage the academic delivery of all programs ensuring quality and TALK academic policies;

· Keeping informed as Designated School Official of regulatory requirements and policies and ensuring that the school is in compliance and following related TALK procedures;

· Manage all aspects of the school budget, expenses and onsite sales to ensure proper expense management and revenue growth;

· All other functions and duties as assigned by supervisor and that promote the business and goodwill of TALK and subsidiaries.

Job Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree highly preferred. Courses in business management, cross-cultural awareness, counseling, and TESOL preferred;

· Minimum 3 years of program, school and/or employee management experience preferred. Experience managing training, supervisory responsibilities, including hiring and evaluating personnel, budgets and marketing is highly preferred;

· Experience teaching; TESOL/TEFL/CELTA certification; or master’s degree in education, TESOL, or related field*;

· Service oriented, having the ability to relate well to a wide range of cultural groups, and be willing and capable of promoting TALK to prospective and current clients;

· Goal-oriented, a hands-on manager, and able to identify the need for, and initiate, action plans to continuously improve the services provided;

· Cross-cultural and international experience and experience in sales and fiscal management;

· At least one foreign language at the advance level highly is highly desirable.

*If at the time of hire, the applicant does not possess at least one of the academic requirements listed, one must be acquired within six months of hire date.
