About the Role
The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the facility, specifically as it relates to safety, quality, on-time delivery to customers, productivity, and cost controls. The individual in this role will oversee the production and distribution functions of the Red Lion manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will lead a highly engaged team, while collaborating with cross-functional departments to achieve company goals and KPIs.
What You’ll Do
- Be a Safety leader and exemplify the goal of Zero Harm as a core value (Ensure safe work environment and adherence to Safety Standards).
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure the production processes run smoothly and efficiently.
- Plan, organize, and control manufacturing processes to meet production schedules, quality standards and customer due dates.
- Monitor production output, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- Work with the Manufacturing Support Manager to ensure the facility is maintained to a high housekeeping standard and that all equipment is in good running order.
- Support data collection methods and participate in the analysis of data to reduce waste (materials, machine speed, downtime).
- Utilize KPIs to drive continuous improvement efforts and maintain cost structures.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve and maintain manufacturing processes to achieve organizational goals – have a continuous improvement mindset.
- Supervise and mentor a team of manufacturing staff, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and performing to expectations.
- Implement performance management strategies and conductive performance reviews.
- Foster a positive and safe work environment, encouraging teamwork and collaboration.
- Ensure all employees follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions including Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Manufacturing Operating Procedures (MOPs), Job Safety Analysis (JSAs), and Safety Manual.
Additional Expectations
- Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
- Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
- Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
- Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Business Management; or equivalent manufacturing experience.
- 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; 5 years of experience in a manufacturing management position.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, Lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong aptitude for root cause analysis and troubleshooting operational issues.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, etc.) applications and computer technology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership and managerial attributes, ability to work in a team environment and interface with a diverse workforce.
- Ability to create accountability and to lead by example.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Good understanding of National and Local regulatory requirements for plant operations.
