Job Overview:
As Engineering Manager, you will take full responsibility for all Maintenance, Reliability, Site Infrastructure, Facilities and any associated project management linked to site wide continuous improvement initiatives and asset replacements or upgrades. The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing a team of engineers, managing project timelines, and ensuring high standards of engineering quality and efficiency. The successful candidate will play a key role in product development, resource allocation, and cross-functional collaboration to meet company objectives and drive innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing daily interactions of all associated Engineering activity across site.
Ensuring SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) metrics and prioritization are effectively managed for every team, every day.
Leadership of the maintenance manager and their associated team(s)
Project management linked to site-wide continuous improvement initiatives and asset replacement/upgrades
Managing effective handover of all shift-based activities with robust escalation and close out procedures.
Managing alignment of site activities liaising with peer group and stakeholders such as EHS, Quality and Production.
Effective leadership and execution of all scheduled Engineering works managing both internal and external contractors.
Seeking out opportunities for improvement and supporting the execution of project deliverables.
Working with site and Divisional Planet Passionate teams to manage energy efficiency and reduction activity.
Taking lead in implementing enhanced use of CMMS, ensuring critical spares are effectively managed and a robust preventive/autonomous maintenance schedule is established and self-sustaining.
Developing departmental metrics to demonstrate capability and progress.
Working with the HSE Leaders to ensure all legislative testing meets the required standards and Statutory Compliance is always upheld.
Compliance:
Adhere to the Companys compliance obligations, policies, processes, and procedures. Report compliance concerns, issues, and failures.
Participate in training as required.
What do you need?
The role will suit a well-established multi-disciplined Engineer with experience of a fast-paced automated and semi-automated production lines.
You should:
Hold a technical engineering degree qualification or have equivalent time-served experience in Engineering.
Have exposure to Automation, Robotics, PLCs, Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems. Additional exposure to sheet steel processing, coil feeding, press tooling and CNCs would be advantageous.
Be an operational all-rounder who has a hands-on approach to getting the job done, possessing a can-do attitude with authentic leadership skills.
Be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to set objectives and prioritize workloads for yourself and others.
Be competent in critical thinking and problem solving.
Be passionate about people and comfortable dealing with cross-functional teams.

Be proficient in the full MS Office Suite and CAD
Hold a valid driving license and be prepared to travel as and when required.
