The Data Auditing Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely entry of all military hotel reservations into Team Housing Solutions' accounting system. The Data Auditing Specialist will communicate any policy discrepancies found during the data entry process back to the necessary departments for correction to ensure all reservations booked, ultimately invoiced to our client(s), are accurate.
Essential Position Functions
Roster Management
- Update & maintain current roster spreadsheets
- Complete assigned roster audits and complete additional roster audits when a team member is absent
- Review data for deficiencies or errors
- Send review questions to appropriate department if needed
Data Entry
- Enter new hotel reservations into accounting system
- Update accounting system to match all changes made to current reservations
- Create new hotel properties in accounting system as needed
- Create new units in accounting system as needed
- Create credits in accounting system as needed
Quality Control
- Pull weekly In-house reports from accounting system to audit system against rosters & ensure all data entry policies were followed
- Update any discrepancies found during audit in a timely manner
Hotel/Property Communication
- Pull Daily Check Out Audits
- Call all necessary hotels to confirm guest check-outs
- Notify reservations team of any date discrepancies found
Reporting Structure
The Military Auditing Specialist will report directly to the Hotel Controller
FLSA Status
This position is classified as Non-Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Qualifications
Minimum Position Requirements
- Education: High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Able to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Strong analytical experience preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
