- Hardware
- Experience with Cadence Orcad and Allegro (Version 17.4 )
- Able to select components based upon need and create schematic symbols as needed.
- Able to design circuits and capture them in Orcad
- Knowledge of Capture CIS database a plus
- Able to do basic floor planning of components due to tight board constraints.
- Ability to import new DXF files from mechanical to
- Experience working with layout house for design rules and routing guidelines.
- Providing constraints for specific nets
- Experience working with selecting PCB laminate material and providing feedback of PCB stackups working with the PCB Manufacturer a plus
- Firmware
- Experience with Intel/Altera FPGAs and Quartus
- ARRIA 10 / Stratix 10 / Agilex a plus
- Experience with Platform Designer and ARM HPS system a plus
- Experience creating FPGA pinouts and capturing in schematic
- Knowledge of VHDL
- Hands on experience building and loading design in the lab for test
- Comfortable working in a lab environment to design, setup and run tests.
- Knowledge of TCL a plus for lab debugging.
- Mechanical
- Component selection of connectors and cables that fit tight design parameters
- Working with mechanical engineer to optimize the design for functionality and ease of assembly while meeting design criteria.
Experience with dense layouts a plus
Experience with CubeSats and Satellites a plus
Knowledge of Source control: i.e. GIT a plus
