As we expand, we are looking for experienced Install Technicians to join our team and help us maintain our high standards of craftsmanship and customer service.

Position Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Install Technician to join our team at Tefco. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in a mechanical or construction environment and be comfortable with a wide range of installation tasks. You’ll be installing custom metal products for residential and commercial customers, ensuring the highest quality of work and customer satisfaction. This position requires a strong background in using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install a variety of custom metal products, including railings, doors, security doors, planters, fire pits, awnings, pergolas, guardrails, balconies, signs, and other items.
• Read and interpret blueprints and design specifications for precise installation.
• Use tape measures, hand tools, and power tools to install products with accuracy.
• Problem solve and think critically during installations to address any challenges that arise.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while working at customer job sites.
• Lift and carry materials weighing over 50lbs.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed on all installations.
• Flexibility to work in various climates, including hot and cold weather conditions.
• Work Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with some Saturdays required during peak season.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mechanical or construction environment (required).
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and tape measures.
• Ability to lift and carry more than 50lbs.
• Clean and valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
• Ability to pass a drug test.
• Professional attitude and excellent customer service skills.
• Willingness to work in both cold and hot climates.
• Ability to work flexible hours and some Saturdays during peak season.

Hourly Rate & Determination:
The hourly rate for this position ranges from $17 to $25 per hour, depending on your experience and qualifications. The rate will be determined based on several factors, including:

• Certifications: Any relevant certifications you hold in construction, mechanical work, or specific installation techniques.
• Experience: Years of experience in the mechanical or construction industry, especially within the ornamental iron or related fields.
• Leadership Roles: Experience in leadership or supervisory positions may impact the rate.
• Previous Work Experience: A proven track record of successful installations, attention to detail, and customer satisfaction.
