JOB DESCRIPTION : Admissions Officer
REPORTS TO : Admissions Director
TIME COMMITMENT : 40 Hours Per Week
STATUS : Salary, Exempt, At-Will Employee
COMPENSATION : DOE
FTE : 1.0
The Admissions Officer’s primary job is to make sure that Telos bed space is filled with the students and families that Telos can successfully work with. This includes answering phone calls from interested families and referral sources and reviewing applications for appropriateness.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Respond to phone calls, emails, and text messages from consultants and families promptly (within the day if possible - at the latest within 24 hours.)
- Keep consultants up to speed on all communication with their families (regarding tours and admits)
- Arrange and prepare for all parent tours and admits : creating data sheets, creating tour and admit schedules, providing testing as appropriate, and communicating clearly to the entire admissions team
- Creating, organizing, and disseminating necessary paperwork to departments for all admits and tours.
- Attend leadership meetings
- Attend NATSAP and IECA conferences to maintain and establish relationships with other programs and referral sources
- Find / create new marketing opportunities as needed
- Manage the waiting list to make sure that open spots are filled by incoming students promptly to minimize time of open beds
- Make changes to admissions documents as needed
- Travel to visit referral sources and programs to maintain and establish working relationships
- Participate in tours for referral sources and programs that others have arranged
- Follow ethical guidelines in maintaining and establishing relationships with referral sources and programs
