Bookkeeper/Accounting

POSITION: Bookkeeping/Accounting for part-time hours (work can be done remotely)

Bookkeeping Duties:

• Apply established accounting concepts and techniques involved in maintaining, adjusting, and balancing a number of accounts within an established accounting system.
• Responsible for accounts payable, payroll and corresponding federal and state tax preparation, payments, and reports.
• Accurately prepare all periodic financial reports. Prepare forms and documentation, checking for errors in computation and posting. Financial reports are needed on a monthly basis for:
• Statement of Financial Position
• Cash Statement
• Statement of Activities
• Revenue and Expense Statements
• Allocation Expense Detail
• Central Service Expense Detail
• Manage A/R Function, which includes:
• Reconcile A/R to Campaign on a monthly basis
• Send Pledge Payment Reminders
• Enter payments for 2-3 fiscal years/campaign
• Provide support for development of budget and any other financially related

reports as needed. These reports include overdue accounts and related correspondence, gift acknowledge receipts, required statistical reports, and other reports as deemed necessary.

Qualifications:

• Good working knowledge of accepted accounting methods and procedures in keeping working accounts and of office terminology, procedures, routines and equipment.
• Ability to classify accounting transactions, to maintain and reconcile accounts and to prepare reports systematically.
• Good computer skills in Microsoft Office products such as word-processing, spreadsheets, database, and other programs.
• Miscellaneous other duties pertinent to accounting duties
