As an ELL Specialist with VocoVision, you will work remotely to support K-12 students. Your main role will be to create and implement individualized language development plans, offering personalized instruction to help students enhance their English skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening. You will assess language abilities, track student progress, and collaborate with teachers and school staff to ensure academic success. Using VocoVision's telehealth platform, you can provide expert support in a flexible virtual environment that accommodates both student needs and your schedule.
You will partner with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to monitor student progress, give feedback, and adjust teaching methods as needed. Your responsibilities will also include designing and applying accommodations for ELL students in their classrooms to ensure they have the resources necessary to thrive. Strong communication skills are essential, as you'll need to explain complex concepts clearly to students with varying levels of English proficiency.
Candidates should have a background in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) or a related field, and be licensed to teach in Illinois. A degree in Education, TESOL, or a similar field is required, with experience working with ELL students in K-12 settings preferred. Familiarity with virtual teaching tools or a willingness to learn is essential, as well as the ability to manage a flexible schedule. We are seeking individuals who are patient, culturally aware, and dedicated to helping students succeed academically.
