The Arc Central Chesapeake Region supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to live, work, and connect with their community.
Construction Management is vital for ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget. This role bridges the gap between stakeholders, managing communication, schedules, and documentation to keep all aspects of a project aligned. By coordinating efforts across teams and addressing challenges proactively, Project Coordinators help drive the successful completion of construction projects.
The Project Coordinator will manage construction and renovation projects in alignment with Chesapeake Community Development's mission and the goals set by the Director of Construction Management. Responsibilities include organizing projects, maintaining timelines and budgets, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and effectively managing project documentation and communication. The Project Coordinator will work closely with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact and ensuring the successful completion of all projects.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and a proactive approach to managing complex construction projects, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety throughout the project lifecycle. They will develop detailed project plans and maintain schedules while addressing delays and changes as needed. In collaboration with the Director of Construction Management, they will organize and manage subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders, coordinate project budgets, track expenses, forecast costs, review invoices, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications
This position requires a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of three years of experience working in residential or commercial construction and/or renovation projects as a lead or project coordinator level. A bachelor's degree is preferred and/or experience as a superintendent or general contractor is preferred.
