Your Impact as a Certified Medication Aide
In This Role, You Will
- Administer MedicationsProperly administer prescribed PO, topical (unbroken skin), and rectal medications according to physician's orders and company policies.
- Monitor and ReportObserve for adverse effects of administered medications and report them immediately to the Charge Nurse.
- Document AdministrationRecord all medication administration according to company policies.
- Ensure Safety and SecurityMaintain the security of the medication cart and ensure a safe, hazard-free environment.
- Maintain ConfidentialityProtect the privacy and confidentiality of resident information.
- Follow Infection Control PoliciesAdhere to infection control protocols during medication administration.
- Monitor Resident StatusNotify the Charge Nurse of complaints, reactions, or any changes in resident status.
- Report ErrorsReport any medication errors immediately to the Charge Nurse.
We're Seeking Someone Who
- Holds a current Medication Administration certification from the state.
- Demonstrates competence in medication administration and technical procedures.
- Possesses strong communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience.
- Is detail-oriented and capable of accurately recording information.
