This position is based on-site and does not offer remote work options.

Credit Analysts are primarily responsible for credit analysis and loan underwriting in support of the Lending Officers, which includes, but is not limited to, information gathering on loan applicants, credit analysis with an emphasis on both the primary and secondary sources of repayment, preparation and completion of loan packages for presentation of loan packages to credit administration and/or executive committee, and ongoing customer relationship monitoring and servicing, including interaction with the customers and internal bank staff to ensure quality work product.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize analytical skills to prepare Loan Analysis in close working relationship with the Loan Officer's, Relationship Managers, and applicants.
  • Analyze an applicant's financial information, credit history, banking status, collateral, and other pertinent information to determine the feasibility and risks of granting the loan with emphasis on both the primary and secondary sources of repayment.
  • Contact the Loan Officer(s) to resolve questions regarding applicant information and obtain supporting information as required.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the loan packages and adherence and compliance with all bank policies and procedures and all regulatory requirements.
  • Compile special credit and loan reports for various management.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
- Proficiency in loan origination, credit analysis, risk analysis, and loan processing
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on quantitative research and quantitative analysis
- Knowledge of financial concepts and ability to apply them in credit assessments
- Familiarity with financial software for data analysis and reporting
- Excellent mathematical skills to perform accurate calculations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
