Join our team as an Skilled Maintenance Technician, where youll play a critical role in ensuring our property remains in excellent condition. This position requires a mix of technical maintenance expertise and strong customer service skills. From diagnosing issues and completing repairs to organizing work orders and maintaining the property, we seek a dedicated individual who can work independently while collaborating with the property management team.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Conduct routine property inspections to identify and address maintenance needs
- Perform plumbing repairs, including fixing leaks and unclogging drains
- Carry out electrical repairs, such as replacing light fixtures and troubleshooting wiring issues
- Maintain and repair HVAC systems as needed
- Repair and paint walls, ceilings, and doors to maintain unit and property aesthetics
- Install, repair, and maintain household appliances
- Handle carpentry tasks, including repairing/installing floors, doors, and cabinets
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities and repairs
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests
- Collaborate with property management and team members to schedule maintenance work
- Oversee and coordinate with contractors for specialized repairs
- Maintain landscaping and grounds as required
- Provide excellent customer service to residents by addressing maintenance concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous experience in maintenance or a related field required
- Certification in HVAC (universal with a minimum of 3 years hands on experience), plumbing, electrical
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently or within a team
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations
- Experience using property management software is a plus
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor tasks
- A valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Customer service experience in a residential setting is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals
- Willingness to be on-call for emergencies
