Overview: We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as Mental Health Support Staff, working overnights (11pm-7am) Saturday and Sunday nights.
Successful applicants must pass a Livescan background check.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with mental health disorders.
- Assist patients with daily activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Monitor and document patient behaviors and progress.
- Implement treatment plans under the supervision of licensed professionals.
- Conduct group therapy sessions and facilitate therapeutic activities.
- Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with mental health disorders, developmental disabilities, or substance abuse issues.
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with children or adolescents in a mental health setting.
- Familiarity with data collection methods and medical documentation practices.
- Knowledge of PTSD care and trauma-informed approaches.
- Understanding of behavior management techniques and crisis intervention strategies.
- Background in addiction counseling or substance abuse treatment.
