The IT Support Tech/ Help Desk is responsible for handling day-to-day support tasks, assisting with general troubleshooting and managing basic technical issues. The role emphasizes user-focused services.
Essential Functions:
· Respond to and resolve tech support request tickets in ticketing system that include but are not limited to desktops, laptops, tablets, VoIP phones, printers, scanners, copiers, cameras, smart board and other technology.
· Act as liaison between KDS Managed IT Services vendor and KDS.
· Coordinate with the KDS Managed IT Service vendor on any issues related network configuration, server configuration or security software and keep key staff members informed of updates.
· Create and maintain accounts for staff and students including M365, BestNotes, VoIP systems, credentials management systems, door access systems and provide password resets as needed.
· Collaborate with other departments to determine the best types of devices for student devices and then manage the configuration of students devices to maintain appropriate access and enforce student device policies.
· Oversee the Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution, ensuring proper deployment and management of devices for staff and students.
· Work with Managed Service Provider to update the KDS email system on a timely basis including creating emails, ensuring that distribution lists are current and accurate, shared mailboxes and all other areas related to maintain an accurate email system.
· Maintain a complete and accurate asset management list for all KDS devices.
· Manage inventory lists for all outside funding sources and report as needed (Title, grants, etc)
· Manage copier leases for all campus locations.
· Assist with setup and operation of AV equipment
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
· Disabilities and the organization’s mission
· Computers, general software and network environments.
· AV equipment setup and workstation troubleshooting.
· Basic understanding of IT support processes.
· Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.
· Knowledge of Windows/Mac operating systems and peripheral setup.

· Kneel, bend and clean on knees; perform a therapeutic hold that requires kneeling/sitting on knees for up to 15 minutes; holding an individual for 15 minutes; move furniture and lift items that weigh at least 40 lbs.; stock shelves which includes being able to lift items over your head and stack them onto shelves; mopping, sweeping, and moving chairs, tables and appliances.
· Be present at scheduled times and dressed according to policy guidelines.

Additional Requirements:
· Performs other essential and marginal job functions as assigned.
· This position may require use of KDS vehicles in transporting students and occasionally personal vehicles on KDS business (non-transporting) and therefore requires a valid class D driver’s license.
Acceptable Experience and Training:
· High school diploma or equivalent with proof prior to employment.
· Industry standard certifications in the IT field preferred (A , Network , Security , PMP, etc) with proof prior to employment.
· 1-2 years of experience in an IT support/helpdesk role.
· Provide evidence of a current TB Skin Test upon hire and prior to first day of employment.
· CPR/First Aid and Handle With Care Training upon hire.
· Successful completion of all pre-employment background screenings
· Be in good health and free of mental and/or physical limitations which would interfere in dealing appropriately with the client’s handicapping conditions and behavior disorders.

Pay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour
