Part-time Child Care Worker

Lakeway Church, a Christ-centered, non-denominational Bible church, is seeking a dedicated and mature Lead Childcare Worker for our weekday programs, events, and Sunday services.

This role is crucial in fostering a secure, nurturing, and engaging environment for children, ensuring parents have peace of mind while they participate in church activities.

Position Details:

• Hourly Rate: $18 to $20 per hour based on commitment and performance.

Hours:

• 15-20 hours per week. Full commitment to all scheduled hours is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Adult Leader, working with youth workers to ensure they uphold the highest standards of childcare.
• Provide a safe, loving, and stimulating environment, treating each child as if they were your own.
• Demonstrate excellent multitasking skills and maintain a high level of awareness to stay attuned to the needs and activities of each child in your care.
• Manage and support youth workers, ensuring they perform their duties diligently and responsibly.
• Exhibit a strong level of maturity and self-sufficiency, effectively handling any situation with professionalism and grace.
• A responsible and dedicated adult with strong moral character and a humble, team-oriented attitude. In this role, you will set a positive example for both the youth workers who will work alongside you and the children in your care. • Be flexible with varying schedules, including morning hours (8:00 am - 12:00 pm, 2 days per week) and evening hours (5:30 pm - 8:00 pm, 1-2 nights per week) and Sunday Mornings (7:30am-12:30 pm).

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to commit to at least 15 hours per week, with the possibility of up to 25 hours depending on church needs.
• Flexibility to work both scheduled and various hours for upcoming ministry events.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• We are looking for a Lead Childcare Worker who can plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities for children with creativity and initiative.
• This role requires someone who takes safety very seriously, ensuring that every child is cared for with the utmost diligence. We are not only seeking someone who is kind and tender with the children but also someone who can build warm, personable relationships with parents, providing a welcoming and reassuring presence.
• The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, manage activities effectively alongside youth workers, and interact positively with both children and parents. Employment Status: Part-time (15-20 hours per week)

Schedule:

• Sunday: 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
• Sunday Occasional Afternoon or Evenings: As needed for ministry programming.
• Monday & Tuesday: As needed for ministry programming.
• Twice Per Month - 1st and 3rd Wednesday: 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
• Wednesday Evenings: 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
• Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
