The Learning Station is looking for a cook to join our team, who will be responsible for preparing and serving attractive, appealing, and flavorful meals while complying with the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and the center’s requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares nutritious and appealing meals and snacks
- Plans and conducts nutrition activities with children.
- Maintains food item inventory, and orders sufficient items for menus.
- Proficient with the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) guidelines.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of CACFP
- Ability to work independently and in a quick place
- Be able to serve a large group of students breakfast, lunch, and snack
- Past chef/cooking experience
- Be able to take inventory and do the food orders
- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs
