What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Recruiter position at The Maple Press Company?
The Maple Press Company is currently seeking an energetic, organized, and resourceful Human Resources Recruiter. This role will assist with multiple functions within the Human Resources Department such as recruiting, onboarding, new hire and termination paperwork, etc. The primary responsibility of this position is to handle the hiring at all four of the Maple Press locations. Frequent travel to all three of the Maple Logistics Solutions facilities will be required. This person will also assist with all other Human Resources functions, including but not limited to safety and benefits administration.
Positions Available: Full Time, 1st Shift
- Monday – Friday / 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- 40 hours / week; 30 minute lunch break
Requirements & Duties:
- Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
- Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Develop and maintain job posting and advertisement processes.
- Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
- Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of pre-employment materials/testing
- Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborates with the hiring manager for start dates, shifts, positions, and other pertinent details.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Track turnover and assist in developing/maintaining a retention program
- Attends and participates in recruiting outreach – job fairs, community events, employment programs, etc.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good marketing tactics
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn job posting websites and stay up to date with current hiring needs within all company locations and departments.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
