Assistant Sales Manager

 

Qualifications:

  • Driver’s License 
  • Clean DMV 

Education

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Other:

  • Ability to meet company’s production and quality standards.
  • Basic Technology Skills (Email, Microsoft Office, Mobile Device etc.)

  • Determine management, production and quality requirements by asking questions and listening.
  • Attend company meetings as required.
  • Maintain a follow-up system that encourages follow through with assigned projects.
  • Establish personal performance goals that are consistent with company standards of productivity and devise a strategy to meet those goals.
  • Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively.
  • Understand the terminology of the business and keep abreast of technology changes in products and services.
  • Know and understand the federal, state and local requirements which govern the company’s business.
  • Follow lawful directions from supervisors.
  • Understand and follow work rules and procedures.
  • Participate in performance management.
  • Interact well with others and be a positive influence on employee morale.
  • Uphold the company’s non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements.
  • Work evening, weekend and holiday work hours as required.

Essential Job Functions

  • Assists in directing and scheduling the activities of all sales employees, ensuring proper staffing at all times.
  • Ensures that each customer is greeted as quickly as possible.
  • Assists in implementing and maintaining a prospect tracking and follow-up system including confirming appointments
  • Monitors inbound and outbound phone call activity (reviewing recorded phone calls), getting involved where needed and coaching sales people where necessary.
  • Monitors inbound and outbound email activity for quality responses, getting involved where needed and coaching sales people when necessary.
  • Reviewing internet leads to ensure proper follow up, communication and customers are receiving proper information.
  • Desks deals when sales manager is non on duty.
  • Assists customers on the showroom as necessary if sales people are unavailable.
  • Ensures the dealership and car display are kept clean, neat and tidy and that cars are displayed properly morning and evening depending on shift worked.
  • Helps salespeople close deals when necessary.
  • Communicates with new-vehicle and used-vehicle salespeople to ensure that dealership policies and procedures are understood and followed.
  • Conducts sales training meetings as directed by the sales manager.
  • Conducts new sales person onboarding and training
  • Performs manager check out for sales people at the end of their shift. Corrects time cards as necessary
  • Assists the sales manager in development of improvement programs for salespeople who are having difficulty reaching their objectives.
  • Ensures salespeople maintain a high customer satisfaction rating.  Performs next day CSI calls ensuring customer satisfaction.

Compensation Range by Position:

The expected pay for this position is $68,640 per year plus bonus up to $160,000.00 per year and may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience.  Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonuses or commissions.
