Plastic Injection Technician and Mold Set Up
THE PLASTEK GROUP is seeking great people for its Manufacturing Division located in Erie, PA. Mold Technician
Duties include: Check with the molding technician from the preceding shift for status report of presses. Maintain open communication with the other floor personnel to discover where the problems may have occurred. Check all auxiliary equipment including the dryers, thermolators, chillers, etc. Responsible for the work order request for maintenance of the equipment. Startup and shut down of the presses. Review the startup / shut down procedures for requirements. Clean molds in area See foreman for mold cleaning requirements and completion of PM paperwork. Submit correct work order when starting up a job. Review the job requirements with personnel. Complete the first piece checklist. Respond to all corrective actions as quickly as possible. Follow up on the corrective actions with inspection and the floor personnel. Keep all processes up to date. If changes are made to the process, record the reason for the change on the molding log. If a job continually gives you problems, be sure to write the problem down and the circumstances surrounding and notify the foreman. New process sheets are to be made per request of the foreman. Fill out the daily production report in assigned area. Include cavities blocked, cycle time, down hours, and codes. Periodically check production shots on the presses. Notify supervisor if problem has not been resolved within one hour. Other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.
$1,000.00 New Hire Bonus
Paid RJG Training and Bonus up to $2,500 in total
- Essentials Training: $200

-Master Molder I: $1,000
Mold Set Up
Duties include: Pull and/or set molds as scheduled by the foreman. When setting or pulling a mold, make sure the proper SOP requirements are met. Operate forklift and crane. Keep the designated set up, storage, and die vault areas clean and organized. Other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Pay scale is $18-$28/hr.
Shift differential of $0.50/hr. for 2nd shift, $1/hr. for 3rd shift.
