THE PLASTEK GROUP is seeking Mold Setters to work 2nd and 3rd Shifts for one of the Company’s Erie, PA Manufacturing Divisions. This facility performs plastic injection molding and component assembly. This is an excellent and exciting opportunity to work for a secure, progressive, and technologically advanced company. Entry-level quality inspectors are encouraged to apply as well.
Summary
*Excellent Opportunity & Training will be provided to those who have some technical plastics experience and/or have high levels of mechanical ability*
Daily communication with Supervisors and relative employees to Pull and / or set molds as scheduled and per specifications to work orders, mold change reports, maintenance/tool repair orders, and material requirements. Responsible for safe operation and handling procedures in work area. Hang Mold, Hook up water lines, Install conveyors/chutes, Hook up core pull & air blast, Install cooling fixtures, Set drop bars. Mold change over procedures including removal of old production, cleaning and completing log reports.
Qualifications
- Possess a working knowledge of Injection molding and operation of Cincinnati / Ferromatik Milacron and Husky molding machines.
- Experience with high volume multi-cavity stack molds and hot runner controllers.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
- Ability to apply mechanical reasoning to problem solving.
- Forklift License / experience
- Must be able to meet attendance requirements

- Pay rates up to $19.00/hr.
- Differential of $1.00 for 3rd and $.50 for 2nd shifts.
