Under direct supervision, the Maintenance Worker will perform tasks to maintain various facilities and buildings on the San Gabriel Mission Parish campus both on weekdays and weekends. We are looking for a full-time individual who will perform preventive maintenance including painting, installations, variety of repairs to all facilities, setup/breakdown of tables/chairs and equipment for events, grounds keeping, irrigation systems, assists with interments and other cemetery related activities, and general custodial duties such as cleaning, maintaining and repairing fixtures, appliances and equipment.
Requirements
- Minimum two years facilities maintenance experience.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, carpentry electrical, and basic repair skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects 50 lbs or more.
- Ability to frequently perform tasks that require climbing crouching, kneeling, stooping and bending.
- Ability to stand and walk for sustained periods of time.
- Current VIRTUS Certification and participate in Live Scan fingerprinting.
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
