The Manager of HR has a significant role in developing, and primary responsibility for executing the company's people strategy in terms of recruitment and retention, training, performance management, succession planning, compensation, and long-range planning. As a member of the Leadership Team, the Manager of Human Resources is responsible for managing and forging organizational culture in alignment with Shaw Core Values. It is expected that this individual will also work to ensure alignment where possible and collaboration as part of The Shaw Group with affiliate and parent companies.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR policies, processes, and programs which are aligned to Shaw’s strategic business plan and Core Values.
- Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR department by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, performance management, compensation, and benefits globally.
- Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of strategic goals.
- Design and implement an effective performance management process and cycle to support the business objectives of the organization.
- Develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefit plans that are competitive and cost-effective.
- Drafts and implements the organization staffing budget, and the budget for the human resource department.
- Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management.
- Guide employees and management in the interpretation of HR policies.
- Functions as a strategic business advisor to senior leadership regarding key organizational and management issues.
- Operate as a member of the Leadership Team in developing business strategies and contributes to operational and management decision making in meeting strategic business objectives.
- Build relationships with management to understand their business requirements and align HR programs accordingly.
- Advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues always aligning to Shaw Core Values.
- Coach business managers on issues of effective team building and organizational effectiveness.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree and/or master’s in human resources management or other related field of study.
- SHRM CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL (SHRM-CP) or Comparable HR Certification.
- 6-8 years’ minimum experience in Human Resources, preferably with senior experience in HR for an EPC/EPCM company or industrial services organization.
- Experience managing visa processes.
- Proficient in working with WC Engineering workforce requirements.
- Ability to reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see and to perform repetitive motion.
- Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
