Job Summary
The Soap Opera on state street is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Web Manager to oversee our online sales and shipping. This person will ensure our website is both functional and user-friendly, and help gather new sales ideally with great SEO. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of web management (ideally with shopify), general shipping/packaging knowledge, and be kind and patient with our customers.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the company website, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
- Oversee inventory control processes related to product listings.
- Get shipments out for new orders each day, ensuring they'll arrive in a timely matter for customers
- Conduct regular audits of web content to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Provide technical support for web-related issues, including troubleshooting mechanical problems.
- Analyze website traffic and user behavior to inform strategic decisions.
- General photoshop knowledge to create our monthly events calendar/marketing materials
- Create social media posts to promote items on our website, sales/ events we are having at a 3 post a week minimum
- Check in inventory as it comes into the store, follow our procedure for the check in process, and add new items to online store inventory
- Answer phone calls during your work hours and many of them are going to be online/shipped orders
- Help on the sales floor as needed
Requirements
- web design knowledge
- Strong knowledge of materials handling, warehouse operations, and inventory control ideal
- Ability to perform lifting up to 50lbs
- Mechanical knowledge is preferred for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement.
- Customer service background preferred
Position
- Hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
- You'll have 1 on 1 training with our current website manager before she leaves for over a month to learn our processes and systems, and then can also make the job your own with your set of personal skills as well!

Pay: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
