We have an immediate need for an Assistant Property Manager to join the team at Parkstead Watertown at Black River, one of United Group’s professionally managed multi-family housing communities located in Watertown, NY. To learn more about our property, please visit their website.
Major Tasks Responsibilities:
- Full job description will be available during the interview process
- Assists the Property Manager with daily operations activities, including preparing Accounts Payables, month end reporting, budget and variances, and sales / leasing.
- Responsible for Marketing/Leasing activities, including daily/weekly reporting, preparation of flyers/materials, attending tabling/marketing events, preparing lease up move-in packets, assists with regular market surveys, and community outreach.
- Responsible for assisting with rent collection process, move in/move out processes, collaboration with Maintenance Supervisor on work orders, apartment turns, and physical repairs/improvements as needed.
- Assists with updating social media accounts.
- Ability to assist and handle resident issues, requests, and emergencies.
- Ensures Owners' goals and objectives are aligned with property operations.
Job Overview Requirements:
- Job Type: Assistant Property Manager; $20 per hour, plus Bonus Program.

Work Hours: Full Time: Monday through Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm.
- 1st Saturday of each month required to work 9:00am – 1:00pm.
- Training for Position: some supervisory experience, ideally in real estate or property management with both leasing and maintenance staff.
- Physical Requirements: Light lifting and carrying.
- Required Education: College Degree or Applicable Work History.
- Required Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in residential property management; Entrata experience preferred
- Certifications: Professional designations, i.e. Accredited Residential Manager (ARM), or equivalent industry designation preferred.
- Qualities: Demonstrates integrity on a personal and professional level; Strong time management skills; Exceptional communication, sales, negotiation, and leadership skills; Ability to multi-task and solve problems involving residents, maintenance, and challenging situations.
