Responsibilities Include
❏ Teaching: Maintain a safe, pupil-centred learning environment. Guide whole class, small group, and individualised instruction in science and STEM for grades 6 to 8. Regularly monitor and assess pupil learning and growth to inform instruction using a variety of tools and means.
❏ Curriculum Design: Plan a comprehensive, integrated curriculum that aligns with the school mission and grade-level learning goals. Craft thoughtful, engaging units of study designed to address the different learning styles of pupils in the class.
❏ Collaboration: Work with grade-level colleagues to connect science lessons to other subject curricula to foster cross-curricular learning. Consistently and clearly communicate with colleagues, administrators and parents regarding pupil progress and any pupil issues.
Additional Responsibilities
❏ Attend and contribute to regular faculty meetings.
❏ Collaboratively plan, organise and conduct relevant field trips.
❏ Supervise car-line, lunch and recess duty.
❏ Attend and assist with assemblies and special events, some of which occur outside of normal school hours.
❏ Actively participate in all in-service and orientation days.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $45,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
