We’re on the lookout for a seasoned Software Project Manager, who is local to the Atlanta area, to join our team! In this role, you will lead and manage digital global teams in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment, overseeing full system implementations and web-based software development projects.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead with Precision: Initiate, plan, execute, control, and close out projects using our robust project management methodology.
- Collaborate & Innovate: Partner with business clients and IT team members to craft detailed project plans, including resource allocation, work breakdown structures, and key success metrics.
- Stay Cool Under Pressure: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring scope, schedules, resources, costs, and requirements are met, even in high-pressure situations.
- Engage Cross-Functional Teams: Interface with and manage cross-functional digital global teams.
- Analyze & Troubleshoot: Utilize your strong analytical skills to design, test, implement, and provide post-support for projects.
- Communicate Risks: Identify and communicate project risks to key stakeholders effectively.
- Foster Team Spirit: Promote a strong team environment within IT and across locations, business functions and departments.
- Share Knowledge: Provide knowledge transfer to other team members both in IT and within the business community.
- Deliver Updates: Use your excellent communication skills to deliver project status updates to steering committees and leadership.
- Measure Success: Develop metrics and reports to measure project success and present results to senior management.
- Manage Budgets: Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in project management related to software development.
- Expertise in Agile/SCRUM methodology.
- Skilled in gathering and documenting User Stories.
- Experience in Quality Assurance Testing and User Acceptance Testing.
- Extensive knowledge of the SDLC and project management standards.
- Strong negotiation skills to reach agreements amidst differing viewpoints.
- Ability to set clear expectations, manage digital global team performance, and build high morale.
- Capacity to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive assignments.
- Thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented global team environment.
- Experience with database querying is a plus.
