What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lubrication Technician position at Thiele Kaolin?
Thiele Kaolin Company, a leading provider of tailored mineral solutions, is currently recruiting for a Lubrication Technician. This position is located in Wrens, Georgia.
MAJOR DUTIES:
- Monitor and maintain compressed air systems
- Conduct and document fugitive emissions testing as required
- Monitor and maintain containment basins for fuel, chemical and lubricants as required
- Maintain lubricant storage facilities and inventory
- Operate Hydralift and other shop tools
SKILL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to perform assigned tasks with little or no supervision
- Ability to work with others
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn and obey all safety rules and regulations
- Willingness to attend necessary training
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance activities
- Ability to identify potential problems and communicate concerns found while completing preventative maintenance activities
- Ability to identify tools necessary to do a job
- Know the names of most industrial equipment in the plant and mine and how most of it works
- Use fall protection equipment and respiratory protection equipment as appropriate
- Ability to drive/operate Thiele owned equipment
- Two or four-year degree from an accredited school or technical college, or two years of experience in a related field
