GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The purpose of this role is to ensure the overall Quality and Food Safety of products at our Swedesboro facility. Must be well-versed in the Quality standards set forth by the United States Department of Agriculture and other Regulatory agencies pertaining to processed meat products. Provide clear and concise documentation reports on a daily basis regarding the operation as well as the Good Manufacturing Practices of the plant and company personnel.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- First Shift Position available: 03:50-14:30 Monday through Friday (Saturday Overtime available)
- Third Shift Position available: 21:00-06:00 Monday through Friday (Saturday Overtime available)
- Conduct Pre-Operational and Operational Inspections and document findings.
- Communicate Foreign Object discoveries and provide root cause identification and corrective action measures.
- Inspect returned goods, document findings, and provide disposition.
- Perform Shelf-Life testing and assist in sampling collection.
- Provide Chemically Lean testing results and fat testing.
- Execute ATP environmental swabbing in the facility (both food contact and non-food contact surfaces).
Job Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in a fast paced, food manufacturing environment
- Meat exposure / meat experience a plus
- HACCP Certified preferred
- USDA manufacturing exposure/experience a plus
- Proficient user of Microsoft Word, Excel, & Outlook; able to complete formulas
- Ability to clearly speak, read, and write in English
- Excels as a team player
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Understand and abide by all safety regulations as well as policies and procedure set forth by Thomas Foods International, USA
