Job Summary
The Senior Analytics Engineer will develop and maintain data models in all layers of data delivery that support the reporting and analytics needs of the Distribution and Marketing.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design data models in the various data layers of Thornburg's infrastructure that can efficiently and accurately deliver data to stakeholders.
- Develop new ETL processes to integrate new data sets.
- Monitor existing ETL processes to ensure data is accurately delivered to stakeholders, including critical systems such as the CRM or BI visualization tools.
- Drive the collection of new data and the refinement of existing data sources
- Maintain extensive documentation of the various data processes used to support reporting and analytics for Distribution and Marketing.
- Work with business experts, data users, and other stakeholders to understand organizational processes and deliver relevant data solutions.
- Occasionally develop and implement Power BI reports and dashboards to deliver analytics and insights to stakeholders.
- Support distribution leadership with selected analysis or implementation of projects
- Assist leadership in periodically reviewing our data and analytics technology landscape and recommend improvements and efficiencies that will improve the utilization of data across the firm
- Participate in data and analytics projects for other Thornburg leaders as requested.
- Perform other job duties assigned as necessary.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in technology/computer science- preferred.
- 4 years relevant experience (experience in the Asset Management industry preferred)
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis now and in the future.
- Knowledge of Power BI and Dax or similar tools such as Tableau- preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of ETL tools
- Advanced knowledge of T-SQL and SQL server including writing of Stored Procedure Wrappers.
- Experience communicating analytics methodologies and results to high level stakeholders
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Attention to detail and ability to find and recognize errors using common troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
