Timberland Bank is a leading Northwest Community Financial Institution offering financial services to meet the needs of the communities we have served for over 100 years, expanding our service area to six counties within Western Washington.
We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Loan Officer to join our Tacoma team! In your new role as Commercial Loan Officer for Timberland Bank, you will be responsible for originating, evaluating, and managing commercial loans while fostering strong client relationships. You will be working closely with Pierce County business owners by assessing their financial needs and delivering customized lending solutions to help them succeed. In addition to maintaining and managing an existing client portfolio, you will be the face of Timberland Bank while developing new business relationships throughout the community.
As an ideal candidate, you will have experience in loan origination, loan underwriting, and negotiation. Your ability to read and analyze financial statements will be pivotal in helping you assist business owners achieve their goals. You are self-motivated, an achiever, and enjoy working within a team.
During your first year at Timberland Bank, you will originate $12 million or more in commercial loans annually from a combination of outside sales, portfolio management and referrals from the branch network. You will learn Timberland’s loan process and will be able to competently discuss loan terms and economic factors with loan applicants, structure the loan to fit the bank’s underwriting standards and comply with FDIC rules and regulations.

Rate of Pay: $106,080 - $137,800 annually. Full-time, exempt position. Schedule Monday – Friday. *Flexibility in scheduling may be required as needed.
