Job Summary: The contracted Local Area Sales Manager (1099 contractor) is responsible for overseeing the operations and sales activities at a designated sales lot. This role involves managing daily lot operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, driving sales growth, and maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of the sales lot. The Local Sales Manager collaborates with various team members to meet sales targets, optimize inventory management, and enhance the customer experience.
Schedule: 4 Weekdays and Saturdays
Key Responsibilities: Sales, Customer Service, Lot Operations, Marketing & Promotions
- Achieving revenue targets by actively participating in sales activities: customer interactions, negotiations, and closing opportunities.
- Ensuring high-quality customer service and satisfaction.
- Customer relations: addressing inquiries, resolving issues, providing product information.
- Collaborate with the customer service team to coordinate product deliveries and process sales orders.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the sales lot: manage inventory levels and ensure a clean appearance.
- Collaborate with the Regional Dealer Manager to develop and implement sales and promotional strategies to drive customer traffic and increase sales.
- Participate in marketing events, trade shows, and community outreach activities to promote the sales lot and generate leads.
- Monitor market trends and competition, providing feedback and insights to support the development of effective marketing campaigns.
- Generate regular sales reports, analyzing sales data, trends, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment, adhering to safety guidelines and promoting a culture of safety awareness.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and active listening skills.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of achieving targets.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to multi-task and maintain organization.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and sales tools.
- Proficiency in using computer software, including MS Office and CRM systems.
- Ability to work in an independent environment and adapt to changing business needs.
- Knowledge of outdoor storage buildings or related products is advantageous.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Some college or business-related education preferred
- Previous sales and management experience preferred
Compensation:
- $400 per week plus sales commission: estimated to be between $32,000/year and $64,000/year
