What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Accountant position at TIMEC?
Your primary responsibility will be to issue employee payments, considering deductions and withholdings. You’ll prepare payroll schedules and records, and you’ll contribute to various accounting tasks, such as updating payroll files. To succeed in this role, you must have strong mathematical skills and knowledge of national and regional laws on payroll. Strong excel skills are a must.
Responsibilities
- Ability to process payroll transactions accurately and timely using strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
- Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
- Communication skills to effectively interact with employees, management and other stakeholders regarding payroll issues and inquiries.
- Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Candidates with 2 to 4 years of experience in payroll processing
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Excel
- Time management and organizational skills to manage multiple payrolls, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records.
Salary : $70,000 - $75,000
