The Assistant Restaurant Manager will work directly with the General Manager and Kitchen Manager, ensuring all operations of the restaurant meets Toast's standards. They are someone who is passionate about food and customer service. They are problem-solvers with a strong work ethic and leadership skills. The Assistant Manager understands that customer satisfaction always takes priority and that efficient restaurant operations are necessary to make it possible. They are an experienced leader who is self motivated, a team player, and has a passion for growth within the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities
- Works Directly with the General manager to enforce Toast’s policies and procedures.
- Identify and delegate responsibilities to staff to ensure objectives are met and excellent service is consistently achieved
- Effectively manage and complete daily tasks the restaurant in the absence of the General Manager
- Manage operations with passion, integrity, and knowledge while promoting the culture and values of Toast
- Help to implement new company policies and procedures by developing plans, working closely with direct supervisors.
- Consistently review operations and staff to identify any problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement
- Provide coaching and feedback to staff and assess performance on an ongoing basis
- Assist General Manager in performing routine performance evaluations for all FOH staff.
- Manage the restaurant to meet and exceed standards in food quality, safety, and cleanliness
- Consistently monitor product and labor costs to remain within goals set by upper management
- Solicit guest feedback to understand the needs and wants of customers
- Follow and enforce the Toast Restaurant policies and procedures including those for cash handling and safety/security
- Schedule all FOH staff and engage in weekly meetings with general manager to approve before posting
- Assist in staffing any areas of the restaurant when staffing constraints may require
- Perform interviews with candidates for employment and schedule follow up interviews with general manager for candidates who may qualify
- Assist in the preparation of weekly/monthly inventories.
- Generate daily reports and forward to all upper management
Qualifications
- Previous Experience: Prior Restaurant and Management Experience (2 years preferred)
- Must have reliable transportation
- Able to use touch-sensitive POS System
- Able to lift minimum of 50 lbs.
- Able to work in a high-temperature kitchen for an extended period of time
- Completed training in all areas of restaurant
- Must be able to take direction and delegate responsibilities
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays

Pay: $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
