What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resource Administrative Assistant position at Tops Markets, LLC?
Responsibilities:
· Answer the phone for the Human Resources department and direct calls to appropriate parties.
· Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including mail and faxes
· Managing and schedule meetings and conference calls
· Perform general office duties; such as maintain supply inventory, the upkeep of the meeting and break areas
· Prepare agendas and make arrangements, such as coordinating catering for luncheons, for executive team, management, and other meetings
· Assists in processing applications to include entering the applicant information into various spreadsheets/databases, forward applications to proper personnel, check references and maintain the application files
· Assists in the coordination of employee orientation, enters status changes, new hire paperwork, maintains HRIS system
· Assist with all HR functions: Provide clerical support to HR dept., coordinate warehouse events, employment verifications, HRIS changes, and local charities
· Responsible for employee communications
· Record keeping and file maintenance
· Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· 3 years of experience in an administrative support role
· High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
· Experience with union environment preferred
· Excellent communication skills- both written and verbal
· Must be proficient in a PC environment (MS Office, Access, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
· Strong attention to detail; Planning & organizational skills
· Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
· Friendly attitude, helpful manner
· Enthusiastic person who can work well with little supervision
· Must be able to work in a fast paced, occasionally stressful environment
